The practice is lead by Malachi McConville who has over 15 years experience in running the business and on delivering sound commercial and taxation advice to our clients. 

 

The practice also has various other senior and support staff consisting of qualified accountants, trainees and administration support staff.

Malachi McConvilleMalachi McConville BSc (Hons) FCA

Malachi, a Chartered Accountant, is the senior partner within the company and is responsible for the audit, accountancy and general business advice giver to clients. 

 

Malachi trained with William Fitch & Company in Belfast before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1994.  He joined the firm in 1995 and has an extensive knowledge of our clients and their service needs.

Karl GilchristKarl Gilchrist BA (Hons) ACA

Karl joined the practice directly from University in 2002.  After qualifying in 2005, he has moved into a senior position with the firm. 

 

Karl specializes in IT solutions for business, in particular he has an extensive knowledge of sage accounts.

Mary Louise WaltersMary Louise Walters BSc ACA

Mary Louise joined in 2004 from industry. 

 

Mary Louise successfully completed her professional exams and qualified as a chartered accountant in early 2008.

 

After qualifying she has continued with the practice and she provides audit and accountancy services to large companies and Credit Unions.

Michael Fitzmaurice

Michael Fitzmaurice FCA

Michael was the founding partner of the business in 1971. After training with Price Waterhouse Belfast, as it then was, Michael took the big step at a young age to start out on his own.

 

The practice was based in University Street in the early days and through various acquaintenances Michael was also able to start the Monaghan office from about 1973. Michael has extensive experience in both business and accounting matters and in his time he has been very influential in particular in the area of founding and developing community organisations in the Belfast area.

 

Michael retired from full time work in 2004 but since that time he has been retained as a consultant by the firm passing on his invaluable experience to our team.
